Maine certified energy auditors and weatherization technicians

The Maine Housing Authority is building a contact list of certified energy auditors and weatherization technicians. For information on the program, go to  http://www.mainehousing.org/ENERGYAuditServices.aspx

Energy auditors are home inspectors who evaluate your home to identify areas where energy efficiency improvements can save you money. Weatherization technicians are trained to install some of these improvements.

MaineHousing provides training classes for contractors interested in becoming certified. Homeowners should note that MaineHousing does not endorse or warrant the work of these individuals or companies.

For details on best practices and guidelines for residential weatherization in Maine, you can download the 190-page Department of Energy booklet, Northeast Weatherization Field Guide (PDF file).
